The content you share on-line means a lot to your customers.

In this world of technology, the pull to connect emotionally and in human ways still drives business.

If you've ever used traditional marketing strategies online (you know the ones - "CALL US FOR A FREE QUOTE") you know these don't work anymore.

People are over it. In fact, it might even deter them.

They want to know WHY they should contact you for a free quote.

What sets you apart? How can you win customers with story-driven content?

First thing first in the content rich landscape we live in it - you HAVE to know who the heck your target customer IS. This is important because when you are creating content online for your business, it's to ATTRACT these customers. If you don't even know who they are, how can you possibly target them?

Hard truth, your business isn't actually about you. It's about the people you serve. So who is that? Who do you bring value to? Who benefits from your service? Who calls/emails you for quotes and pays you for your awesome skills?

If you specialize in kitchen renovations, your target market may be women in the 35-55 age category.

If you specialize in new construction, your target market may be men 35-55.

You'll have to check out your data and past customers information and find this out.

Know them well because all your content marketing efforts will be MOST successful with this information.

If you already have established an website. Google My Business and active social media accounts for your business you'll have some data on this in your analytics.

Once you know this information you can begin to craft compelling content that resonates emotionally (or not, depending on your target customer), captures attention and builds connection.

As humans (and I assume you'll be creating content for HUMANS) we love a good story.

Consider sharing your companies mission statement and success story and what sets you apart from other companies.
